ness
Some runs aren't any easier to watch the next day - still bitterly disappointed that a stupid mistake cost us a qualifying round and placing in the finals yesterday but I guess I still love her. For those of you who don't know she was attacked by a kelpie on Wednesday morning and was looking doubtful for the Nationals. She is never going to be up there with the top Masters dogs but she tried her little heart out all weekend. It was a huge weekend for her with 16 runs in 3 days and not once did she switch off or shut down. Even her finals run she gave me her all. Impressed with her 3 passes (at least she got one in each of games, agility and jumping so got one each of the different types of qualification sashes). Any way in order we have our run which qualified her for the Excellent Agility finals. Her open jumping pass on Saturday morning. Her Masters Jumping round from Sunday which wasn't a pass but there were only 15 qualifiers and everybody else was disqualified and Ness nearly got around the course apart from taking the wrong last jump. Finally Ness's ill-fated run in the 2007 Excellent Agility Final!!!! - so close yet so far.
leopuppy04
I still think they were pretty good runs considering Wednesday's event!!!!! Well done on your 3 passes! Bad luck for your excellent finals What jump was she meant to take in the jumping/?? Well done - you should still be proud
ness
That single jump near the spread - you can see it in the video. Whats more I took her over after they had run the final and little goose did it correctly . Edited May 6, 2007 by ness
ness
Oh I just read in the jumping she was suppose to take the spread not the broadjump .
Cosmolo
She does look like she was trying hard. Congratulations on your efforts- 16 runs in 3 days is massive! Just out of curiousity, how old is she? I love how she carries her head through the weavers, she looks very proud. Cosmo carries her head really low when she's weaving- is there any advantage to high head carriage do you think? ness
She'll be 7 in September so she isn't a spring chicken any more. Low is suppose to be better I think - Ness hasn't got the fastest weaving times I think hers are fast average speed from what I read about times on a yahoo list. So not to slow and fast enough to be competitive to a certain level but not fast enough to beat your superfast masters dogs.
Erny
Ness - an awesome effort on both your parts. 16 runs!!! Don't know how you eventually don't get the order of all the runs mixed up in your head? Understand how it can be so disappointing - one split second, one slightly wrong or late turn of a shoulder etc. etc. But you both did so well and you should be proud that you got as far as you did. My friend would have been at the Nationals too. Waiting for news how she faired. I think she was turning the trip away into a slightly extended holiday, so I presume she and her dog are busy relaxing at the moment. He is a "Masters" qualified dog and I presume would be competing in Open, Masters and Excellent. Well done to you both. Fantastic job. ness
Masters qualified dog would have run in masters and open. Ness was only in Excellent Agility but also Masters Jumping, Open jumping and open agility. We certainly enjoyed ourselves though and it was fantastic meeting a whole lot of new friends and great to catch up with others. Ness has hardly moved a muscle this morning - one totally exhausted dog. Not even much interested in breakfast . ETA. At least I finally got my head around how to play snooker after having cost my dog on a number of occasionals lol. Only 3 more legs now for our JDO!!!! Pippi
....... I love how she carries her head through the weavers, she looks very proud. Cosmo carries her head really low when she's weaving- is there any advantage to high head carriage do you think? If cosmo carries her head really low when weaving, you should be very happy - this is the exact behaviour most of us train for in the weave poles, low and driving through Congratulations Ness, what a great effort you should be very proud - although I can understand the disappointment. They looked like very good runs.
2tollers
From a complete amateur I thought that looked fantastic. You both seem to be working really well together. When I see these clips I start thinking that I should make an effort to learn. Congradulations

Tassie
We just got back home from Nationals an hour ago - drove Adelaide to Melbourne yesterday, ferry overnight, Devonport-Hobart this morning. Dogs are pooped - sound asleep on the floor at my feet. What an awesome experience - and it was so nice to meet the Ness and Ness - and what a great effort for you guys to make finals. Kirra and I snagged 2 individual passes over the weekend - our first time so first pass in Novice Strat Pairs, and an Open Agility Pass. And she got an award for highest scoring non-Masters-titled dog in that Masters Jumping course on the Sunday morning where there were only 15 Quallies. We went clear but had 1 time fault (0.7 secos over) - I was stoked with her run in that. And I was delighted with her that she listened to me, and had no DQs in the teams event - that was our strategy. We had a course fault in the agility leg - not bad since it was Masters and we're still in Excellent - and a course fault and some time faults in the Jumping leg. I'll look at the videos at work tomorrow (I'm on dial-up) - looking forward to seeing them.
ness
So Tassie you can probably answer this question what was the STC for the Masters Jumping round on Sunday morning? I would like to know how close we would have come if she had jumped that spread rather than taken the broad LOL. Great to meet you and Kirra and you both ran very well in the Teams and should be extremely proud of yourself.
Tassie
Thanks Ness - I am very proud of my little girl. SCT for Sunday am Masters Jumping was 40 seconds, I'm pretty sure.
ness
Bloody hell Ness would have got a leg if it hadn't been for that last jump. I just worked out she got 39 seconds - pure EVIL!!!!!!! I presumed she would have been well and truely over STC. Oh well.
