I had my 2 boys done in February, and one of them the elizabethian collar was sending him batty, he was banging his head against the lounge etc, to try to get it off. I took it off him, and he was fine, didn't go near his stitches. I supervised him for the first bit, but he didn't go near the stitches, just wanted that bl**dy thing off his head.

I just had 1 dog castrated today, but he does not lick or chew so no collar for him.

One of my other dogs needed it and after 1 day he thought it was the best being able to headbutt the other dogs. I think it made him feel like the boss as they all stayed well away from him

He also thought that having spare food stuck to the end of it was pretty cool too (until I cleaned it at the end of the day). He could just have a munch when he felt like it

DMP works every time. They'll only lick at it once

I use a plastic 'basket' muzzle! The dogs can drink with it on...and it is removed for food time

there is no problems with not being able to see properly. or getting caught on furniture, either.
