3shepherds
Stryker went to the bridge today. He would have been 11 yrs on Anzac Day. He was so much loved and will be so sadly missed. There is a special place Dear Lord I know you always keep A special place reserved for dogs when they quietly fall asleep With large and airy kennels and a yard for hiding bones With maybe a little babbling creek that chatters over stones With wide green fields and flowers for those who never knew about running freely under a sky of perfect blue I know You keep this special place and so to You I pray for my special German Shepherd who quietly died today He was full of strength and love and so very, very wise The puppy look that he once had, had long since left his eyes So speak to Stryker softly please, give him a warm hello For he’s a special gift to you from me, who loved him so (orig Jan Cooper 2004 - adapted) Stryker 25 April 1996 – 20 March 2007 Another star is shining in the sky tonight
kbrown
I am so sorry A. I know how hard it is to loose a beloved furry. I hope you are coping as well as you can. How are the other to doggies going? When does your husband return? Please if you need anything don't hesitate to ask myself or mum. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this hard time. Remember all those special times you shared and have a good cry. Get it all out don't bottle it up. Take it easy.
KOE
Rest in peace Stryker and to 3 shepherds remember all the good times, I really feel for you. I was standing on a hillside, in a field of blowing wheat And the spirit of a German Shepherd Dog was lying at my feet. He looked at me with kind dark eyes, ancient wisdom shining through, And in the essence of his being his love shone clear and true. His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there on that day, And he told me of this story about a place so far away. His tale did put my heart at ease, my fears did fade away, About what lay ahead of me on another distant day. “I live among God’s creatures now in the heavens of your mind, So do not grieve for me my friend for I am with my kind. My collar is a rainbow’s hue, my leash a shooting star. My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens or kennels here, and I am not confined, But free to roam God’s heavens among my Shepherd kind. I nap the day on a snowy cloud, gentle breezes rocking me, And dream the dreams of earthlings and how it used to be. The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound, And milk bones line the walkways, just waiting to be found. There even is a ring set up, the grass all lush and green, And everyone who gaits around becomes the Best Breed. For we’re all winners in this place, we have no faults you see, And God passes out those Ribbons to each one, even me. I drink from waters laced with gold, my world a beauty to behold, And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my very side. At night I sleep in an angel’s arms, her wings protecting me, And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee. So when your life on earth is spent, and you stand at Heaven’s gate, Have no fear of loneliness, for here you know I wait.”

Guest KOJAK
3 shepherds I am so sorry at your loss of your Stryker. I myself have been so busy over the last few weeks or so and before you know it a month has passed. I have had a quiet time so have found about your Stryker' To you and all the animals that passed onto Rainbow Bridge may you all run free My Prayer from me to you Miss Me A Little Miss me a little but not too long And not withyour head bowed low; Remember the love that once we shared, Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone; It’s all a part of the Master’s plan, A step on the Road to Home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know, and Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me, but let me go. love my german shepherds kojak :D
