My Puppy Starts Obedience Tonight...

I took Fern to her 1st training night and we just stood at the side for an hour. It was my choice to do this as I consider it pointless trying to get a puppy who has left her brain at home to learn much at all! By the end she was sitting and we did walk back to the car on a loose lead so we achieved something in my book. But Fern was too stressed/excited to eat the treats. It also doesn't help that I train positive and the club is mainly negative but they do allow flat collars, food and a clicker for pups, so they are trying. But an instructor also tried to force Fern to sit until I told her to take her hands off my dog, which she did quick smart! Same instructor didn't even know greyhounds are sighthounds, just thought they are dogs that run around race tracks. As long as they let me pay my money and do my own thing I'll be happy, it's good socialisation for Fern.

Sorry for the hijack  got carried away

How did Hunter go?

How did Hunter go?

Hunter went pretty well considering it was all new and exciting, he's made heaps of new friends - especially a chocolate lab called Cody. LOL! I took treats with me, he is interested in them, but more interested in the other dogs. I found out that he isn't sitting straight, kind of leans to one side, so I have to try to correct that. Any tips??
