Jayne
Hi everyone, Im having a bit of a problem with my staffy pup. He will be 9wks on saturday. I have been sl owly getting him to stop biting soo hard. When he bites i let out a very loud yelp, he stops and gives me a funny look and i stop playing. He has gone from biting very hard to gentle bites similar to his fleaing bite (if that makes sense). Well its all been going good, until today. I've been working night shifts monday and tuesday night so home at 7am. He played while i slept this morning and i put him into our bed at about 11am. He sleeps in our bed occassionally but knows he's not allowed to sleep there all the time. At 1230 i was on the phone and he was awake and being playful but all of a sudden he latched onto the top of my ear and wouldnt let go. I dropped the phone and yelped really loud (it was really hurting), he didnt let go, i tried to pry his teeth open and only after about 40secs did he let go. And since then when i tell him something he growls at me. How do i stop him acting like this before it gets worse? It will be his first night at puppy preschool tonight and now im worried he's going to be aggressive....
