TangerineDream
I wonder if it was an attack of pancreatitis Sammy had? if the bone had a lot of fat on it that's a risk....
Nevafollo
hmmmm well the vet didnt say anything like that.....im pretty sure the bone wasnt too fatty, plus the strange thing was (well the vet thought it was strange) sam didnt show ANY sign of being in pain, he didnt move and inch when he was being poked and pushed around by the vet..... ive taken him of the bigger bones hes only allowed chicken necks from now on because hes just as likely to hurt himself again because he hoovers the bones down!!!! Ons
i'm glad he is better, I hate it when our dogs get sick, my maltese used to get alot of tummy upsets but she outgrew them as she got older. She used to do odd things too when she was unwell, probably lying in the dirt was cooler for poor Sammy, putting him where he did not want to be and making him stay there would not have helped him at all. Although Daisy was an inside dog she would often prefer to be outside when she was unwell, guess nearer grass to eat if she wanted to and as well she would have been upset about disgracing herself inside.
