Clyde
I clip oodles of Border Collies, GSD's, Golden's, Labs etc... even a few Rotties. I usually advise owners first of the drawbacks, if they haven't done it before, but they are all adamant to have it done. I believe that it does ruin most dogs coats, however I have had a few where it hasn't made a difference. I've recently started clipping Victoria, not only is she alot more comfortable she has a new lease of life/energy. I also clip using #10,#15 for lots of Borders (#15 for Vic.) - I don't give the dogs clipper burn nor do they get any infections etc. Most of the dogs come from local acreage where ticks are a serious problem - no matter how often you check. border14
Sounds a bit dodgy border14! Unless the groomer thought she was supposed to shave the dog. You don't normally end up with bald spots even when you are clipping!! I'm not worrying about it anymore. I am going back to doing it all myself like I did before. Like I said from the beginning, it is unprofessional and he's not going back. And I have been given great advice from DOL'ers. Once again everyone, a very big thankyou.
Ari
Strange that the "accident" happened on more than one occasion..
