BittyMooPeeb
No cicada's around my area this year, but several years ago they were *everywhere*. You couldnt move without stepping on one. And the canine and feline crunchies made me . The lovely kitties used to bring them to me in the night, in various stages of being eaten, from not eaten at all and still fluttering about to just one wing and some slimy stuff left. Boy I'm glad it will be 5ish years till the next uprising!
kamuzz
If we had cicadas they'd eat them. My lot eat Christmas beetles. Thought Christmas beetles were cicadas.....?
Golden Girl
Noooo, a Christmas beetle is one of those bright irridesent (sp?) beetles that fly around. I haven't a clue what they are called except Christmas beetles. Did you grow up in Central Queensland??
Akitaowner
we have had quite a lot of christmas beetles too - they tend to fly in the door as soon as it is open! much smaller than cicadas! im ok with bugs usually but cicadas are terrible they dont even fly in a predictable way so you can avoid them :D one flew in my kitchen and i couldnt catch it so just threw a towel over it and left for OH to deal with!! i think the wet last week killed a lot there seem to be a lot of bodiews around in our yard!
