b00boo
Hi everyone, Our 10 weeks old Shih tzu has been having difficulty breathing at night, she couldn't sleep because her nose is blocked. We took her to the Vet and they told us that her condition is common, and she will learn to live with it. But I am really worry for her, and wondering if there is any thing I can do at all? Please advise!!!! many thanks
vic2010
Have you spoken to the breeder about your concerns??? If you are worried I would try and get a second opinion.

Muttaburra
Dogs with flat type faces often have these problems, the other thing that should be looked at is the soft palate, this can also relax during sleep causing breathing problems. I agree, discuss with breeder and then find a good vet for a second opinion.
badboyz
Might also help to make sure she has a pillow to put her head up on while she sleeps. She may well grow out of it but do talk to her breeder.
