Clicking Mad
Excellent!!! Put a big smile on my face Great to see different dogs doing it. Josh and Moses come across as really calm. Nice circular motion from Josh. My Jamie girl sorta does that when I ask for a wave, it's like a "Hi, Hi, Hi" and her paw goes around and around and around. She's desperate. Whereas Tex gives it straight up in the air and Chester throws both his paws at me, his left higher than his right. Chloe is so cute. I've never had an opportunity to train a cat before, terrific!! Sam. PS: being mothers' day yesterday I went to visit my Ma, used their computer as you do and got some more photos downloaded. Here's Chester and his funny wave. whatevah
This is an advanced move, the dog is actually swiping at his eye. I say what is in your "eye", and he swipes at his eye, also looks like a wave.
whatevah
Moses also does it with a worried look on his face. He offers this behaviour a lot.

chicko
Hi Guys great photos Sunnie knows 'paw' but how do i teach wave? Please give me directions... Sarah
shoemonster
I'd start by attempting to take his paw like with paw but not giving him a cue, and instead of grabbing his paw, keep your hand just away from it, so he is lifting it attepmting to give it to you, and by default waving Once he is doing that then give him a wave cue Dunny Brush or some others will probably explain it heaps better than me! chicko
I can put my hand out and not even say Paw and he will give it to me, so he has that down pact.
shoemonster
Cool, so use that and move your hand higher so he has to lift his paw up higher so he is waving :p
Guest Ponies
My cooper has learnt to wave (could already shake).
Maile
Shayla knows how to wave, but she always need to come closer to me before she starts waving. Have to teach her to do it from a distance.
