Sucking/chewing On Her Tongue

Piper seems to be sucking/chewing on her tongue while she is asleep - not every time - just in deep sleep I think!

It sounds like a baby sucking on a dummy and her tongue is out of her mouth a couple of millimetres.

Is this normal? Should I worry? Or is she just dreaming??

Yeah Sam likes to suck or chew my hand sometimes before she goes to bed.

I have a litter of 5 day old pups here doing exactly that in their sleep. Newborn babies do it to. It's very cute

both mine do it, it does sound like they are suckling. :D i think its cute. Mine are 7 and 4

All my dogs have done this- it happens less frequently as they get older. I think it might be them dreaming about suckling from their mother- its very cute.

you are right, it is less frequent now you mention it.....gawsh my baby is turning seven tomorrow.....
