Vale Mrs Jenny Brennan

For those that may have known Jenny Brennan.

She passed away at 11am this morning.

Jenny was an authority on the workings of pounds local laws etc, she started up the first lot of animal control in the north west many years ago when there were no laws or even fences out this way. She is mentioned quite clearly in Dogs and CAts in the urban environment book and has written papers for conferences.

Jenny was a tough old bird and went through tough times as well as the good.

She retired from being a pound keeper/dog warden at 60 years of age and relocated to Rockhampton area.

Rest in peace Jenny we will miss you.

What a shame there aren't a lot more like her.

RIP Jenny, may all the animals you helped that have passed before you, give you big lick when you get to the bridge.

She was 74 years old and first started her animal career in Australia in a RSPCA refuge which she ran and reared 3 kids on her own, she also a long time ago bred Dobermanns .

I don't know Jenny but I am sure she was well met at the bridge by lots of lovely dogs.
