MyMontage
Hi Everyone Two nights in a row now (a rarity as puppy doesn't pee inside often anymore at night) he has licked it up off the floor..... ;) Is this just completely wierd....anyone heard of this before? Could he be thirsty or something!!!!? Thanks

BubbaBelushi
This isn't that uncommon, especially in dogs kept in confined kennels without water sources (eg puppy farm/pet store puppies) They should outgrow it, make sure water is always available and a stern "NO" from you should assist if you catch him in the act. FYI urine is sterile and won't case them any problems.
poodlefan
Where did you get your pup from? What do you feed him? Personally, I'd be taking a urine sample to the vet to make sure your pup's urine is 'normal'...
SparkyTansy
I can speak on behalf of OP (my sister) and say that the puppy is from a reputable breeder and was raised inside before she got him. He also always has water both inside and out... One thing i can say is that he won't be getting any kisses from me anytime soon!!
haven
Was he ever told off for peeing on the floor when he was being house trained? That's the million dollar question IMO, being punished for toileting in the house can result in this kind of behaviour.
SparkyTansy
He also wasn't told off for going in the house (not to my knowledge anyway) she used to just clean up any inside toilets without saying anything and praise when he went outside..
