kymbo
I ( or rather Murphy) won a pair of 'Doggles' , which is pretty funny, cause he is blind. Anyway, has anyone actually used them? I don't know if they would actually be of any benifit to Murphy, bar on windy days, to keep his eyes free of dust etc .... Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with them? Here is what they look like, to those that don't know the product..excuse Frodo...he wanted in on the pic too, the little ham ;)
*Bella*
I've never used the product but just had to say that he looks so cool with them on! ;)
Cuddles
Scrappy has sunglasses for windy days and bright sunny days.....I find they do help with his eyes tearing. Scrappy's are "baby Banz" meant for new born babies ;)
kymbo
HAHA yes, he looks sooo cool ...it's a sad day when the dog has better sunnies than his owner tho ;) poloroid/ interchangable lenses, sheesh...I suppose it goes with the 'dogue' dinner bowl, and the 'paws' hoodie jacket; he has an image to uphold I wanna image too, dammit!!!! Jejuna
Most blind people wear the dark glasses, why not Murphy. ;) I think he looks great with them. ;) If you go on walks with him you'll probably get a lot of comments from other people saying how cool he looks and then you can explain that you're his "seeing eye person"
kymbo
Thanks Kanga..I presumed that windy days they would be useful...I don't think the sun is a problem with the cataracts ( for him anway)
kymbo
HAHAHAHHA @ Jejuna so true!!!! Plus his eyes freak people out a bit; I am used to them
Fastgals
Dogs that have pannus are recommended to wear doggles, as sun exposure worsens the condition. I've been meaning to get Maggie and Lulu doggles for ages - to protect their big, beautiful eyes from dust and flying insects when they're riding in their sidecar. Murphy's are totally , and I think would suit our two biker-chicks well. I wonder if someone makes greyhound sized (ie. pin head ;) ) helmets??? Weimlover
I have Doggles for Bailey ;) I brought them for him because he gets lots of eye infections from constantly putting his head in the long grass ;) I still haven't got him wearing them forvery long but when he wears them they do look cool (& help his eyes out too)
wagsalot
Riley's got some. He'll wear them for about 10 minutes but then he gets sick of them
Mooper
Jack has some, which we won in a lucky dip at ARF's Christmas party last year ;) I've discovered that they block his peripheral vision, so I can sneak up on him to put ears drops in his ears without him getting all narky at me The trick is to also put them on at "normal" times, with the clicker and treats for example, so he doesn't just associate them with something less pleasant. greytgirl
Blaze hurt her eye a few weeks back and had to wear them for the weekend. Very funny as she wasnt happy about it. Would sought of leave them on when I was around but as soon as i turned my back she was rubbing everyone and everything to get them off. I figure that we might persevere with this though, the kids loved it at the promo. Edited September 7, 2006 by greytgirl
