I'm in the process of getting my boy ready for the ET at the end of the month at Longford. And was just wondering who else was going, so I can say "HI" to you

We just had an ET, here in Mackay, NQld. One bloke with a Shepherd jogged, yes, JOGGED all 20klm. AND PASSED!!

Does that make "No Pump" sound like an excuse?

He didn't need one, 'cause he didn't have a bike! :)

This is for real.

Alan Whyte, Proserpine, N Qld. with Ch. Jezlahn Flying Legend A'Z ET.

I'd love to do this (might work off some of my new biys adolecent energy!) but I don't feel he's had enough basic training yet to be able to concentrate properly on a task whilst other dogs are around...I've had to start from scratch with his training...so he's got quite a way to go yet! He's heeling well now as long as there are no distractions...and he's begining to get the idea of recall...but he's still along way off full concentration :)

have fun! I'm tempted to come down just for a look & a socialisation exercise though...where in Longford is it held?

cheers

;) Hi biker girl

All being well, there are four of us coming up from Hobart - 3 Border Collies and a Sheltie. I'm the senior citizen with a pony tail and a Border Collie - probably my boy, since he's a mummy's boy. All being well, a friend's husband will bike with my girl.

What's your boy? How's your training going? We think the kids are going OK - but that warm weather last week knocked them back a bit, my BC boy particularly.

Hi Australdi - didn't realise you were in Tasmania too. If you do come for a look see, promise you won't laugh at the senior citizen!

just so long as you promise not to laugh at the girl struggling with an over excited deliquent dobermann!!! ;) I'm guessing it will be his first big doggie outing...so I'm gonna be in for a real treat ;) NOT! mind you, which weekend is it? maybe we'll have laid down some more maturity by then! ...... as if! ;)

:D

P.s. I'm in Lonnie.

Would I laugh? Not when I have a completely OTT Border Collie boy, who is, I think, starting to gain some maturity and self control now - he's 4 and a half going on 9 months. His mum's breeder did say she thought he'd be a late developer! ;)

His concentration span is increasing a bit too - it's now probably marginally longer than a goldfish. But I love him to bits, and one day .....

Heheh - and you know what Shek's next excuse will be, don't you? Oh dear - entries closed a couple of weeks ago.

Never mind, Shek - there's always next year, and if you get a bike pump from Mornir on Sunday, you can start Sunday afternoon. ;)

The bike pump is actually to get Daegon conditioned up for the show at Longford on the 21st of October (USA judge, ;)) and the Royal 5 days later. But I'll be taking Kovu along with me to start getting him ready for the next ET trial if they hold one down this way ;)
