ReXy
aww great you will have a great ime and learn a lot..how old is Electra now.. not sure where abouts you are or where you are doing puppy school... but when i went.. my obecience club does it, indoor... so i took . his mat so he has something familiar and safe to sit/relax on some tasty treats, vacination card of course collar and lead.. thats about it.. hope this helps let us know how you went and have fun
bikle
Douglas LOVES puppy school!! I second all that rexy suggested. Our puppy school provides the treats/toys/distractions that are needed for the class. I would just try and write down all the questions you want to ask your instructor because I have found I often forget the ones I really need answered in all the excitement of the class. Have fun!! GLAMACHIC
electra is now 4 months old she is an april fool baby..hehe we are going to stud park vet school this saturday good idea, i will take her favorite of all time toy..her soccer ball!! i use the kibble as treats, as her teeth are still not sharp enough to bite thru many things, she is just starting to hurt our skin, thats one question that i want to ask..how do we get her to stop nipping!! thanks guys...will up date u on monday on how we went
BrunoBella
Have fun Bruno and I have just finished puppy school To stop nipping you have to sit down and put your finger in the electra's mouth and get her to bite. If she bite's hard, pull your finger out, stand up and be quiet. If she bites gently, say good girl good girl. You need to do this quite a bit for maybe 3-4 minutes at a time. Make it fun when they bite nicely and boring when they bite too hard. When electra learns to bite without hurting stop playing the game as you don't want to encourage biting long ter. This worked wonderfully for my two dogs .

Ons
I guess all puppy schools must differ because all I had to take was Tilly on her lead and collar. They provided chicken for the training and there were no toys. I would phone and ask. It was great though, first time I was able to go to puppy school because of where I lived before and although I have owned many dogs I really learnt alot. Tilly was much older than the other pups because we have only just moved but she enjoyed the socialisation with the people, she really is very breed racist and will only associate with golden retreivers and wouldn't play with the other pups but on the 3rd night was more interested in them so if there was a 4th night she may have even played! have fun :-)

GLAMACHIC
hi guys, we just got back from puppy school..and what a fantastic time electra had....even we had a good time with all the other pups. all we took was electras little house with her blankie so that she could feel comfy in it afterwards and we had her harness on and lead..she hates the lead!! now the trainer didnt use any kind of food reward, which i think is fantastic, his dog was such a good dog, the training techniques he used were absolutely excellent, by the end of the one hour session he had 3 dogs sitting!! thats what we learnt today, we learnt to teach our doggies, who is boss, and how to tell them who is boss, and also how to sit..electra sat for 2 minutes straight...yipeeee!!!! any dog and any breed at any age is trainable, so not matter what, your dog CAN be trained...his dog was a kelpie i think , he got it from a friend of a friend who was going to throw it away, as he had bitten its owner and was just chaos, if u seen the dog now 1 year later, omg he was a gem..he loves kids he loved everyone, and he was such a well trained dog...so next time if someone tells u that u cant train a beagle or a pug or whatever...they lie...they have no clue..this guy was fantastic. im not sure if im allowed to post his details on here, please message me if anyone wants details, i think he is in ferntree gully victoria... i had the best time..weather permitting, next week we will learn how to tell the doggies NO! xoxo
