Sept13th
Are Flea Treatments safe for puppies? I washed the dog bedding and vaccumed the carpets and got our our little beagle a puppy flea collar..but I don't think I've killed the fleas completely...I think I need to spray the carpets with flea killer. Stuff I saw at the shops were doggie safe but could flea killer be poisoness for a 11 week puppy? Edited July 17, 2006 by Sept13th
BrunoBella
Not sure about that the floor cleaner. You can use spot flea killer (put it on the back of the neck) for puppies. More comfortable than a collar. Do you have fleas where you live??
roughstock
if you use a product like Advocate or adantage you will kill the fleas etc and it is an easy to use pack. the flea collars can be chewed by puppies and then can cause all sorts of problems. the droplets are a lot better for pups. Mum 2 Bailey n Chelsea
I have just been through this after moving into a new house!! Did the pup have fleas when you got her? Or have you only just discovered them? I would be setting of a flea bomb in your house if I was you and if you think the problem is in the garden you might like to get the place professionally sprayed..... Sept13th
Thanks for your advice everyone I think I will give the spot flea killer a go. Do you have fleas where you live?? Not sure. It's a brand new house so no other pets have been in the house. We've still got lots of sand and rubble in the back yard...maybe that's where he got them from.
