K9: Yep doing that whole "oh you so think you're getting the ball right now, and ZAP, it's gone again!" However the Shepherd nows lands from his lunge at the ball and turns and nips me on the leg! Always the same leg too little bugger, I have one transparently white leg (Thanks to being 3/4 scottish) and my right leg is a nice black, bluish, kinda green colour from the top of my thigh down to halfway down the calf!

Hey do you sell bite suits??!!............................

I am now worried about my upcoming razor blade covered in fur.... Ill look like wyvernblade if all goes to plan :cry:

K9: the constant drive satisafcation breeds contentment... This is very common..

Myszka, yes, yes you will!! I am already suffering greatly at the hands, no I should say PAWS, of a 9 week old Dobe, I can only imagine what he will be like fully grown............

When do you get yours? And boy or a girl?

he twists in midair leap for the ball and 'accidentally' nips me on the way past!

My Dobe is inclined to do that anyway - she jumps and nips as she zooms pat - doesn't get me tho as I rouse if she gets too close.

And I haven't even read much about prey drive, let alone tried it.

I now take the wise path and hide behind trees when she does zoomies.

 Yes well my puppy has WAAAAY more food drive than he does prey drive at the moment, he's like a black and tan labrador or beagle! Have started using it tho, using bits of food in the same way as you use the toy, which he is responding well too. The TOT program is not advancing past a short sit as he's far too anxious to get to the food! I'm not going to be able to remove his lead for awhile yet..........

Yup know how you feel Wyvern ... try having a 50kg mastiff decide he wants it and plants two paws right in the middle of your gut ...

And I have seen a GSD tear apart a whole room and knock over a fridge to get to a tennis ball thats its prey item.

new trick with him I put my knee up and he planted himself right onto it and fell over ... whoops ... embaressing isnt it ... he tried again, knee came up and he hit it again. Sat down, got his toy.{end quote}

Would hate to see the results if a child happened to get hold of the desired toy in the dog's presence!

The mind boggles. It's a disaster waiting to happen!

And, before the elves behind the list bully reply, I rest my case! This list is going from bad to worse!

That's a matter of perspective, for me it just keeps getting better.

Well, I await the results! I can just see the headlines now!

If you see it as funny, I feel very sorry for you!

Have you ever seen the results of a child mauled by a dog???You are pathetic!!!Just because the list bully has had a "go" at me, doesn't make me a laughing stock! I don't value that particular person's opinion one little bit.

Get over it, but, please think of the consequences of unguarded prey drive.

henrynchlo educate yourself before making stupid comments

most detection dogs are trained the same way whens the last time you heard of an aqis beagle mauling a kid?

I don't consider my comments "stupid"! I read several comments that said the dog mauled his handler in an attempt to get at the prey item - a ball.

These dogs, as far as I was concerned, were not AQUIS dogs who, BTW, seem to be, from the picture in a paper media I saw, were trained using a choker!

The dogs that were being represented were, seemingly, family pets being trained "in drive"!

To my mind this is irresponsible reporting to say the very least!

I may, to your feeble minds, appear stupid BUT please remember that the general public also read this list

There are far too many incidences of dog attacks reported and children are the main victims.

I read several comments that said the dog mauled his handler in an attempt to get at the prey item - a ball.

I read comments of people, including myself, getting jumped on and mouthed - this is not mauling and at no time did I feel uncomfortable or unsafe. In fact I said my dogs and I were having great fun.

I laugh because I find you're interpretion of this post funny, I even laughed when you called me pathetic

I feel, very strongly, for the result of all this laughter!!!

Children pounced upon, scratched and, in stronger terms MAULED by dogs who have been teased into prey drive are the innocent victims of ppl. such as the list bully who plants these ideas and don't follow them up in a responsible fashion.

Please don't try to engage me in debate again!.

I find the people on this thread repulsive!
