collie angel Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 (edited) I woke up this morning to an early phone call from my sister who was about to bored a plane, that our family dog Scruffy (matlesexsilky) had fallen in our pool during the night we don't know if she drowned as she couldn't get out or fell in as she had a stroke we would of had her 18 years this may my mum is not handleing it too well as she normally sleeps inside but she wouldn't come in , mum said she has been actin strange all week and her back legs were playing up she was going to the vet tomorrow with her but mum is feeling bad and hopes she did just fall in thinking no one would save her...............i have been with my mum all day and just don't know what to do for her she is a mess and feels so bad she has fallen in before and we were always there to get her out she manages to get through the fence no matter how we block it up. Scruff i remeber the day mum brought you home from the pound as your were going to be put to sleep you were suppose to be a german shepard but mum couldn't leave you there as your big brown eyes grabed hold of her heart. i didn't like you at first as every time you i went to pick you up you would wee everywhere as you were scared as your last owners bashed you, after awhile you came to trust us but still to the very day you use to cringe when we picked you up all but mun you just adored her and she you, you loved going on our boat playing with other dogs and you loved to swim, brandy was your best friend is not herself she will not leave mum alone and just lays there with a sad look in her eyes she knows your gone. you were a fighter and we all thought you would out live us all you were loved and will be missed dearly we are sorry that no one could save you and that you were alone when you died you probably did it for mum so she didn't have to deciede later on to have you pts. go and play with cadbury and blue and wait for us our scruff gril we love you. collie angel Posted April 3, 2006 Author Share Posted April 3, 2006 thank you it very hard for her atm and there collie is pining for her friend she won't leave the spot closest to the edge of the pool where she was found so dad took her over and let her smell her so she knew she was gone if she doesn't cheer up they might get another dog but won't be the same... mum was saying things are started to add up she wouldn't eat he chocie biscuit on saturday night she lost control of her bladder as well inside and she never does that so thats why we think she has gone to do a pee in th garden and had a fit or something and slipped in the water. They took her to the vet this morning as none were open and she wanted her to go to our vet (they had a vet day so were closed) and the vets were so good she is getting cremated to join her brother cats. Your forever mums baby girl....... Brandy misses you so much, more than we would of thought she has been moping around looking depressed and not eating very much we thought in a few days she will be ok but it never happend she lays next to the garage where behind steve had put you after we found you or she will get into the pool yard when someone is there and lay next to the side of the pool where you were found she knows your gone and she must feel you close there. she is stopping zac form getting near the water things she has never done before. She really did love you and i guess after living together for 12 years it is hard on her to as you were there first. We finally had to get a friend for her she will never be you but she will be special in her own way she is filling a void that you have left and for once evryone is smiling something that hasn't been done in a while. Brandy is coming back to life agian. i hope cadbury, blue and ceaser and looking after you.
