Dog Allergy -wandering Dew?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Well I am not going to put Hondo on the cortizone anymore...he is just tired all of the time and seems a bit depressed.

We bought him and his brother one of those outdoor, above ground beds (not sure what you call them), and they have both been on them ever since. So hopefully that helps.

We have not used fertiliser on the ground there. I am thinking the wandering jew may have been there for a long time, so I would say it would still be in the dirt. If this above ground bed thing doesn't work, I am going to have to fence off the areas. Hopefully it does!

Hondo has never had issue before either, until this summer. The vet said that allergies don't usually come up in dogs until 2 years of age. Within a month of turning 2, Hondo came up with the nasty rash.

This has happened with my princess, She turned 2 in November and she has just developed a rash.

Looks like little red dots everywhere, she's scrated it a bit. I dunno what it is. She doesn have fleas, nothing has changed in her life except the Hot weather.

She got a Celery plant (with flowers) the other day... does anyone think this could be the cause?? She is neo mastiff X

i am having the same prob with O-ren

i have started to bath her a bit more often, atm twice a week with some oatmeal based shampoo from the vet, it leaves her coat so soft and knotless, so im allready happy with the result on her coat

but yes i fear o-ren may also suffer paspalum allergy cos we got rid of the wandering jew when we thort of that....

but i also think stress/anxiety is also plaiging my dog so she is nibbling and lickiing the bite-like sores and her coat is disappearing around her underside and bum

il be askin the vet about some antihistamines or somethinig, not sure about teh cortizone... she doesnt have to be EXACTLY like her mummy, both of us on cort... NO WAY!!!
