curlygirl
Last night my parents phoned me to say that "Folly" had died. The two dogs were fed as usual at 6pm. Mum got the washing in while they were eating, took the washing inside, went outside to pick up the empty bowls, Folly was lying down, Mum called dad. Dad thought Folly was asleep, a bit odd but when he looked closer she was dead. Folly was 7 1/2 yrs old, sterilised black lab. She had not been sick, had been to the vets last week for a lump to be checked, it was a lypoma. She was not bloated, no foam around her mouth or any other outward signs. What could have caused this in this young, fit, beautiful girl? Its hard to loose a friend when you know they are sick or old but to loose one so unexpectedly is such a shock. Folly was born 30/06/1998. I got her when she was 8 weeks old. Together we started obedience, getting our CD after 5 trials and started agility after she was a year old. My marriage broke up and she went to live with my mum and dad, I still saw her every day. I love you Fol, See you at the Rainbow Bridge. RIP Gunnislake Wild Winsome CD, Folly, 30/06/1998-28/01/2006. I too lost a beautiful Frenchie girl, some years ago now, same age as your girl, she had been for her walk in the morning, gave her her dinner, and she too was dead by her plate, it was such a shock as she was a real fit little girl, yes Dazzle I am always thinking of you.
