t-time
As for the "country of origin of the breed and what you feed" deal: I was told by an American Tibetan Terrier breeder not to feed too much meat to my TT. His reasoning was that Tibetans are Buddhist and do not eat meat so the dogs were traditionally vegetarian. After a huge internet search, what I came up with is that in fact, traditional Tibetan Buddhists did (and still do) eat meat (think YAKS)!!! Not saying my dog doesn't eat veges but she loves her meat (though not chicken or pork). Felt like emailing him back and telling him but I was too much of a wuss!! This is a great article but we still have to remember, it was written in Germany and it depends on your breed and your individual dog as to how much of these foods are good for it. It also begins with "dogs like their forefathers wolves" which is not strictly true.... My dogs won't touch borage!!!
