We can discuss it with you Anne .... sort out the "cause" ... determine if the "cause" is still there or whether we're just now dealing with learnt behaviour. Either way, if he's doing it for escape the behaviour will continue to be reinforced (and therefore strengthened) every time he achieves his goal.

So, firstly, you're on the right track for fixing up his escape routes.

But check in with the behaviourist .... which, by the way, will be MEEEEE this Sunday morning at Scoresby (xmas break up/fun day) !!!!!

We will definately be there on Sunday and I tell you Erny I am getting so worried about both of them escaping. They got caught by the ranger yesterday thank god but I got a not so nice fine especially at this time of year and I work everytime I leave the house that they are going to get out. It is really worrying me so I will look forward to a chat on Sunday. :mad

Can you leave them inside for the time being Cheyenne to stop them from escaping? Are they digging, jumping or squeezing? I found that bricks layed around the fence/gate line eliminates digging out.

Hi Alison,

Yep they are inside when I am at work now so no more going walks without me.

I have tried putting bricks and pieces of concrete etc. around where they had been digging etc and they just dig somewhere else or a bigger hole around the bricks. I am really starting to stress about it.

As has been mentioned, Alison ... ADT have cancellation policies where, if you're not happy, a portion of your moneys are refunded, depending on how far down the track you elect to cancel. ADT aren't about clinching a deal and keeping you there if you're not happy.

Yes thank you for pointing this out to me....again Erny. I think if you go back and read my post you will see that I wasn't trying to rehash on what seems to have been done to death. I was simply pointing out to K9 that I think a good trainer is worth every cent they charge. So for future reference, it may pay to remember that I can read, but thanks anyway :mad

Edited for spelling, I may be able to read, but I can't type
