Labsmum
It's not very kind if we take up too much time on the forum with you and me Mr Boy. That's not your name that is only a joke after Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austin. ....who knows....... just me. His name is, well was Maya. Maya left our world in June this year. If I am not getting over him soon, please tell me how I am suposed to get over him? Edited November 21, 2005 by Katey
Mjosa
Katey I know how you feel, they take a chunk of your heart with them and you think you will never get over the loss, but believe me you do eventually come to accept it, just think of all the wonderful moments you spent together and how happy he is now with all our fur babies at the  Three years ago I sent a beautiful puppy, 10 months to the UK, to breeders, and my poor James was left on the tarmac at Singapore for five hours, and he died a dreadful death, I still cry for him as he did not deserve that, but I have warm fuzzy memories of him that make me smile, I bet James welcomed Maya when he arrived. :p
Labsmum
Maya will be licking James. That's what he was like with others, he was a gentle, loving giant. He even let an invalid blue-tongue lizard sit on his back and never harmed it, he adopted puppies once. I best write a story about him. He showed me what love is. Labsmum
The real story why I am having trouble getting over Maya is: Maya came to me after some other losses. He was a tiny puppy when I got him. He became a sick puppy too and nearly died. He got this puppy strangles thing, was so ugly, boils all over his face but he miraculously pulled through and then lived a trouble-free life with a strong immune system. So now he is gone too all those feelings come up and I am a bit bewildered/lost. Edited December 6, 2005 by Katey
White Shepherd mom
Oh Katey, I know how hard it was for you to post about your babies. Well done on being brave enough to do so. Maya is probably with your babies now, they are cuddling up to him and feeling all the warmth and love he gave to you. He did his job on earth, being your love and support and now he's continuing what he does best with your little ones. Think of them all fondly but don't be sad. You will see them all again one day. walkthedog
Dear Katey, so sorry to read of your losses. How sad you must have felt, not one but two babies, now Maya. Reading this has given me a kick up the behind, I have had the miseries, my son's birthday coming up 1/12, have not seen him for so long I forget (18 years? 19?). Through my grandaughter I have seen photos of him and his little son, now about 2, so beautiful, little J has a Japanese mother whom I have never met and they live in Japan. he doesnt want any contact at all with me, dont know if I will ever see his little boy. but mine does not compare to yours, so am off to garden then walk my dogs. thinking of you, maybe someone here can help with coping with grief, I hope so.
