Vickie
Just looking for some ideas on what everyone who competes does with their ribbons. There was a discussion on the agility list years ago about it & some good ideas, but I can't access it anymore. Mine are all in shoeboxes :D , except the current ones , but I'd like to put them all together in some way. Anyone got any pics of their displays? dogdayz
Was wondering the same thing - now we are finally getting a few
Erny
In my horse eventing/dressage competition days, there were people I know of who sewed all the ribbons together and made a throw over show rug out of them. I could never be bothered - very time consuming. But would be easier for dogs?
hopenfox
Mine are all rolled up in a box! I have way too many to put them all up, but I do intend to string a light cord accross a bare wall one day and clip all the best ones to it... My other thought was to lie them all out somewhere and take a photo of them. Then enlarge and frame the photo and hang that up instead!
chezzyr
Yes I have heard of the throw rug/quilt thing also. And I vaguely remember someone framing theirs in a large frame with photographs etc!
Vickie
I've thought about the sewing idea, except they're often different sizes. I like the taking a photo & framing it idea though
PAX
Thats what i have done. I took a photo of the dogs with all the ribbons won for that particular title and framed it with the title certificate. The ribbons are just packed in a shoe box and sometimes my kids play with them. MonElite
Mine are in a huge bulldog clip and the clip is attached to an empty cd tower. ribbons cover the tower.
ReXy
i used to show horses and i did the rug thing for the horses... also had miniature horses their rugs were easier.. ... but also a wall hanging sewn on to material.. and framed pics and also frame ribbons with photos of horses/dogs
Erny
I've thought about the sewing idea, except they're often different sizes.I like the taking a photo & framing it idea though  That doesn't matter .... makes for a patchwork quilt type design. Photo and framing idea is nice, but you're still left with all that material, wasting away in a box somewhere .... (as mine are from my horse eventing days - *sigh*)
Maverick
We currently have a wall with all our ribbons on.. Eddy set one up but it is now full. With the horse ribbons, the placings get thrown out or returned to the society. I keep the champs, Reservs and Royal placings. Doggie ones, I tend to take the voucher if offered instead of a ribbon. If not they go into a big box.
sidoney
I have bags of ribbons. Nowadays I take the most meaningful ribbons, and vouchers instead where possible. A wall of ribbons looks good but takes up a lot of space! I know someone who has a wall of ribbons etc. and among the ribbons are enlargements of her dogs. It looks really good. sas
Damn if my dogs ever won ribbons, I'd have them on the walls
Imoenboxers
I only keep the best ones. The others I give back to the show, or don't collect. The ones I do have are pinned in a spare room (this is also the whelping room). When I was showing horses (gee alot of people move from horses to dogs) a friend use to sew them together for her daughter and made a throw rug and curtains out the the ribbons... I do like the photo idea though!
Guest cloverfdch
The one's i dont use as dusters (The felt ones) get hung up on the wall, i must do something with them one day, maybe only the blue ones though . Framing them with photos is also a great idea .

SpikesPuppy
My horse ribbons/sashes are hanging over the curtain rail in the living room (impresses visitors  ). Caber's place ribbons are clipped onto a bulldog clip which is hung on a nail and the ribbons hang down between a picture of Timothy & Spike. His rosettes are on the same wall. And his sashes are strung up on a string which is held between 2 nails. All these are on the wall behind my computer. Other dog/pet ribbons (from obedience, comminuty festival comps, rat shows etc) are randomly about the house.
helen
I love the idea with the bulldog clip. I know a few NADAC people had dog coats made out of their felt ribbons. They look great but are more for special occasions rather than a practical dog coat.
Tassie
I planned on the sewing thing with my previous boy's ribbons as a retirement project. I've been (semi) retired 3 years nearly, and they're still in the drawer. Could be because I'm spending time trying to add to the collection with the cureent 2 puppers! I thought of framing the best few (high in trial). Haven't done that yet either.
