fifi
This morning we woke to find Molly (Artagnan Aibrean Re) looking very unwell, rushed to the vets. at the begining of the year, Molly suffered bloat and GDV, survived the surgery at eight years old, but during surgery, her liver was found to be in bad shape. She has been really well, but this morning was PTS after vet advice, she was in pain - with a very bad prognosis. We have buried her next to Liam, her heartmate. Molly was our matriach, our 'old bag', our wild child, if there was any trouble..Molly had started it... You know the difficult one's that you love because they have so much character. The one that dug a six foot hole at the back door in the dark, who refused to show after a few goes, she chose not to be a mum, but just our Molly. She was Danny's hearthound, and we are gutted. here is the last pic I took of her not long ago..... run at the bridge Molly, and give it a good chew...dig some holes, boss them around! we already miss you...... Mooper
Hugs to you, Danny and the hounds, Fifi. Molly was a special girl and you gave her her wings at the right time. It's so hard to be so kind, but you've done the right thing. Cherish the memories and don't trip in any of her final holes!!

fifi
Thanks so much for everyone's thoughts, we are still feeling numb. Thinking back over the last little while, Molly had been handing the baton to one of our other girls; teaching her to lead the howl chorus, I remember saying last week, that she was giving up her job as lead howler. The changing of the guard. many thanks from fifi, danny & hounds
