larry
hi kez-megaderm is quite good, the ' omegamagic' is basically very similar, but about half the price ! ie about $30 for 1L http://www.petfare.com.au/index.php?page=l...mega+Magic+Plus annodam-flax seed oil is a good oil supplement, but a formulated supplement like megaderm or omegamagic is better as it has a balanced omega 6:3 ratio, plus added vitamins (B, A) and zinc-so it should work better. KGT
I use the Melrose Flaxseed oil from the Health store. I keep it in the fridge, even the largest bottle dosnt usually last long enough for it to go off.
Do No Harm
There's a very good Canine Nutrition list on Yahoo. The issue of fatty acids is discussed periodically and one can access the posts without subscribing to the list. If you go to http://onibasu.com/, check the 'K9Nutrition' box and enter the subject you'll bring up a great deal of information. One thing if supplementing with Omega oils you need to also supplement with Vitamin E.
mita
I use the Melrose Flaxseed Oil, too (from fridge in health food shop....& our local pharmacy). I also add a can of tuna in springwater to the dog's food a couple of times a week. And a raw egg yolk (not the white).
