Lure Coursing Melbourne 28th Aug

Poor Al is so lame this morning on the leg where he has the old racing injury  I told him it serves him right for being so mean to Rosie. I don't think I'll bring him again, obviously too much excitement and I don't want him hurting himself. Hopefully next time Chili wont be in season coz she's three times madder and fitter than Indi so she'll have a ball!

Does anyone know when next time is?

Guest Tess32

Was it just me or were there way less ridgies there than usual?

I could make it to Rosebud, but that's pretty darn far for everyone else I guess.

couples of qs (trying to id some dogs)

Was there a Vizsla there yesterday and if so is he a DOL dog?

There was a cute little black dog with a little bit of tan (floppy ears etc) - I know I have posted a pic once before but cant find it.

Yes alot less Ridgies this time. I am just guessing that some may be show dogs and possibly away at some of the country shows. The Border Terriers werent there - obviously away at shows.

My boys trashed the course as usual. But what was really funny was when Moses got into the tunnel at the end, he then walked backwards for about 4 feet with the tunnel still on top of him, hilarious. I videod the staffy and the toller which I will email to staffords rule today, the stills that is.

At the end of the run three people stand on the tunnels so Moses cannot get in. When they had the lure runnining anti clockwise it confused poor Josh and he just stood there waiting for it come out the right end.

The greyhounds were great to watch. Anybody not there you missed out. They said it was one of their biggest turnouts.

The toller run was a great idea. Here is a picture of staffords rules toller, check out the speed. It was really great to see the dogs that had no idea at the start then on their second run it suddenly clicked. Todd knows what lure coursing is about now, saw the lightbulb click. When sparty first ran he thought he had to herd Josh, LOL, on his next runs he got the idea.
