There is also a pet supply place in Malaga that makes good-quality pet meat...unfortunately I cannot remember the address, but the food is sold at Carine Open Space every Sunday morning. The price starts at $7/kg, and it is cheaper if you buy in bulk. I believe they also do deliveries; I may be buying some tomorrow and can note down their phone number. ElectraWoman - $7/kg sounds a little hefty - I can get human grade mince for the same price! My grief...my dogs eat 1kg of meat a day - I'd have to start eating kibble to be able to afford them! Thanks for the info though, the phone number and other details will be great if you have them. Thanks for the beach names - I think the darlings could use a nice long outing! It would have been handy if she'd done it so I wouldn't have to pay consultation twice! Has anyone had titres done? I'm curious as to costs and results. Thanks. zayda_asher Posted July 4, 2005 Share Posted July 4, 2005 I've only just started this year... basically because my youngest doesn't do well with them... Both of my pups have allergies... Zayda's titres just came back.. right on the boarder line with the recommendation to revac.... Its been suggested that her immune system may not do well because of allergies.... but I dunno - I still don't want to vac her anymore than I have to... It seemed so much easier before the internet when we were mostly clueless...You'd vaccinate every year, you'd feed supermarket brand dog food and you'd be none the wiser. Amazingly, in those days my dogs were very healthy - no allergies, no tummy bugs, etc. Now we have to learn about the effects of vaccines, dog nutrition, dog health, behaviour problems, blah blah blah... The vet I saw was very good in explaining things to me but I wasn't totally ecstatic with her...maybe I'm too fussy! Never to fussy when it comes to vets if you ask me :D Im just as fussy with my own doctor. hmmmm maybe this is why I can never find a doctor or vet I like though I live a couple of suburbs down from you White Shepherd Mom, in Thornlie. I have been going to Vetwest in Canning Vale and have been quite happy with them. They do not give me grief about raw feeding and not vaccinating like many other vets have. I have only been to Murdoch once (emergency section) and was not happy with them at all. But I understand their specialists are very good (am actually going to be taking my dog there for an allergy problem on recommendation shortly) Cant help you too much with the food aspect - you dont even want to know what I pay for my dogs food! (Lets just say the dog food bill is almost 1/2 of my shopping bill and they arent huge dogs).
