Have done this for a couple of days now and my baby boy is starting to get the idea - well at least he doesn't look at me and lay down when I call him now anyway. I'll be sure to keep at it! haven Posted June 8, 2005 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Just try and make your behaviour exciting, interesting and unexpected and you will be guaranteed to get his attention. Try not to lean forward and stare, it seems natural for us but that kind of body language actually 'blocks' your dog. Your voice says come but your body says stay there. I'm planning on buying a long lead and doing some work, as well as using two balls etc, when my partner comes back to town. For now we're just walking a lot on the lead.
