whatevah
Have you tried placing the dog in a sit and very very slowly lure into beg position. Sometimes just try luring part of the way and gradually increase the distance.

Herr Rottweiler
Hi guys, Hope this hasn't been placed anywhere yet as I have just flicked through the posts. Give this method a try. Have your dog in the corner of a room where the 2 walls meet so the dog can use the walls as a little bit of balance. When the dog starts to get confident and their muscles are adjusting to the position, then start to gradually move the dog away from the way in short progressive steps. It's worked for me and other people who have had trouble with it. Edited October 1, 2005 by Herr Rottweiler
Pippi
Good idea, I'll try that one . Good for a young dog I would suspect....
TessaBella
Our next door neighbour taught our dog Sassy to beg. Only took him about 4 minutes and she loves it...It really is cute.

Casima
another begging photo to add, I taught this to my GSD a few years back, I took it slow so he could build up the right muscles and balance since hes so top heavy. He can usually stay up for 10+ seconds, he can speak while begging or hold something in his mouth... I would love to get a piccie of him begging with a rose or something in his mouth (w/o thorns of course) Benny...

gsdog2
Benny... Hey Benny's amazing . I haven't been able to attempt to teach my GSD's to beg because of hip problems, and I've only seen one GSD do a beg as good as his and he only had 3 legs
whatevah
Ben is a nice looking GSD. I taught Moses to beg and wave at the same time. It is hard though.
