These dogs are something between livestock and a staff member so appearance doesn't count.

I would like to know how much they paid for the sire. Or maybe they already know he's an excellent worker which is why they paid so much for his half sister.

Yccch!  Line breeding in hope of big $.  

 

 

although line breeding  is so maligned, when there is a sound line the results can be very successful.

 

as well line breeding was used to dna profile long before the technology was developed  to find  dna markers .

But look what it did for Standard Poodles.  Maybe they did a careful analysis of problematic recessive genes that a half sibling mating might bring out, but I doubt it.
