I have started feeding VAN plus kangaroo meat, but notice that it is coming out in their poos. They also get a variety of either frozen drumsticks, frozen pilchards, raw egg and/or yogurt Is this the way it should be?

Exactly what is coming out in the poo? 

Do you mean it looks undigested or only partly digested?

Are they otherwise OK? No other symptoms?

Did you change the diets gradually?

There are pieces of grain coming out in their poo.  They are fine otherwise & poos are right consistancy tho probably a bit bigger than normal.

That happens with my three as well, bits of red lentil, split peas and un-husked barley, it doesn't worry me as I figure it's fibre and just doing its job, it is the same if they get a carrot treat, the chewed bits come out the next day (akin to throwing money down the toilet I suppose )

I always thought of it as muesli for dogs.

Throwing money down the toilet is a good way to describe it. Don't judge a dog's diet by human requirements. 

I think some of these diets are made to appeal to the buyer. Next will be "curated by head chef of ..." when what dogs really crave is cat poo.

I'd say some of it is getting digested. 

Plus, passing extra fibre is important to keep the anal glands moving.
