wire
It’s been a few years since I’ve purchased a dog from interstate and never thought twice about the transport costs but right now I am getting quotes to fly a small dog from Noosa to Adelaide and have been quoted around the $950 mark. can anyone recommend a pet transportation company they use and happy with their service? I guess I’m genuinely surprised with the cost…. cheers
Dogsfevr
Im gathering its 2 flights from Noosa so that will add to the costs . Try Baycity pet transport they are Qld based & well used & well priced Flying costs went up when covid hit
Deeds
We used Dogtainers on the breeders advice. She always uses them . They were helpful when required. It was pretty straight forward.
wire
Thanks Dogsfver, will get onto it straight away. for some reason I thought he would be transported to Brisbane airport by road. I’m an Adelaide pumpkin, lol!

Depends on the company some may road transport but that will still cost plus hire crate fee Most breeders/show people n Australia use Baycity,Mooreholme,KCR & a couple of others . I have used those 3 & considerably cheaper than the others & great service Edited May 3, 2023 by Dogsfevr

wire
Hi coneye, road transport from QLD to Adelaide would take days, I can’t imagine how stressful those days would be. Flying is 2.5 hours and yes, stressful but short lived.
wire
Puppy landed in Adelaide today. Was picked up at 10am & arrived 5pm. Long day. Bay City Pet Travel handled the entire transport, from taxi service to flights. Kept in touch at each stage today and even sent me a photo of pup just before boarding in Brisbane. I really appreciated the way Bay City handled this whole transportation, we exchanged several emails and phone conversations and today they were excellent. The puppy arrived relaxed and excited to see me. a big “thumbs up” to them. thanks everyone
