sandgrubber
I'm picking a pup from a litter of 7. The one I liked first off has gotten into noisey wining at 5 weeks, while one I had previously overlooked is silent, stands back, and gazes into you eyes when he wants attention. Are these traits likely to hold true as the pups grow up?
persephone
Hmmm..I'd tend to say "yes" .
Kazm
I tend to agree. My girl had a litter once and one of the puppies was a bit whiny. Now 5 years on he is a fantastic dog but is still known to be a bit of a whinger.
JRG
Depends why he is crying. Equally, a pup that stands back might not be very sociable so it all depends what you are looking for. I would wait until they are at least 7+ weeks old before I choose.
