Labrador Lover
6 yr. old female spayed Labrador at 2 yrs. old.. Noticed a few months ago both of her mammaries starting to sag. Vet found no lumps. Feels like breast tissue as if a false pregnancy starting. No milk. Line of discolored skin between the two from licking – she has allergies we are currently resolving. We’ll give it one more month and consider hormone testing. Has anyone encountered this? I welcome your insight.
persephone
Hi If she's licking - there could be pain there from stretching or fluid buildup ... sorry I can't be of more help. If she had a complete ovario-hysterectomy it should not be a false pregnacy ...weird
tdierikx
Is she carrying a bit of excess weight? Some Labradors will get saggy boobies if they are a bit on the heftier side - especially as they start to get towards their mature age years... The licking between the mammaries could also be because when it gets warm between them, it starts to itch a bit. T.
