Rebanne
I believe it's to keep the weight off the rib cage, breast bone so it recovers it's normal shape.
MabelSweetMabel
I am contemplating adopting a 6 mo old Welsh Terrier who has hind leg swimmer puppy syndrome. The puppy had early intervention and the breeder said she is doing well but probably will never have a normal gait. I was wondering if anyone has a older dog, 10-12 years old who had swimmer puppy syndrome, any problems down the road I should be aware of? How are the legs as they age? Is there a need for continued physical therapy? Any advise or information would be appreciated. Thanks
