Whippet gets nervous when I take his partner for walk!

Hey!

As the title says, my male whippet gets nervous when his female whippet friend is taken for walks without him. I cant take him for walks for a little while as he has foot problems.

 

 I've tried to take her out on walks secretly by shutting him outside so he doesn't see me put the leash on and leave but I think he's caught on and he barks erratically whenever I shut him off. 

 

I've been told he stays in an anxious state by my parents while his friend is out and it sucks!

What do I do?

I guess you could try an Adaptil diffuser, or some calming chews.  Probably try a stuffed toy like a Kong .. or my favourite a Toppl - or hide some treats around the area he's in.

..and this is a good pointer to start training BOTH dogs to learn to spend time alone  And enjoy it. 
make being alone that time when ONLY the best teats come out - the big raw bones , especially . NO BRB's at any other time ;)
