Tully
My 4 yr old has a brown spot on the white of his eye. It kind of looks like the brown is leaking onto the white. Of course that’s not the case, but it’s how it looks. Does anyone have any idea about this? persephone
Hi Time for a vet visit to check it out ...' brown' can often be old blood ..so it is worth a look I think.
Rascalmyshadow
Your links aren’t working but from what you have described I have had two dogs with this and it was nothing (can’t remember the term the vet used), I would get it checked out just in case but I wouldn’t stress too much. persephone
The 'spot' appeared to cover quite a large area..from the inner corner, across the very bottom of the pupil- the image wasn't very clear... And could well have been blood .worth finding out where it was coming from. @Rascalmyshadow links for me were very short movies that had to be downloaded to be viewed.
Diva
The links don’t work for me but from the description it could be pannus. In which case it definitely needs to be checked by a vet. If it were that the dog would require eye drops for life.
*Avanti*
My Lab girl had a spot in her eye that turned out to be a cyst. I took her to Animal Eye Care in Malvern who were very thorough. Her's was related to ageing though so I am not suggesting it is the same issue. I recommend them for a specialist's opinion if it is not too far for you, they were so thorough. https://www.animaleyecare.com.au/

I’ve tried to see it again but all I’m getting is the ‘play’ symbol with a line through it and nothing happens when I click on it.

Rascalmyshadow
I hope it turns out to be nothing serious, it does look similar to what two of our dogs had but it’s positioning is a little different.
Tully
Thanks everyone, sorry the links didn’t work but I appreciate Powerlegs posting the picture. I will keep an eye on the spot (excuse pun). I just had my other boy at the Vet for an eye infection which sprung up overnight after weeks of getting him back to health after the ‘chook neck’ paralysis. Hopefully things will go smoothly for a while. : )
