Jaminy
Hi everyone, I am here hoping you would help me in my search for a skilful and experienced surgeon to do luxating patella operation on my precious baby. He is a lhasa apso at 4 years of age. I am located in eastern suburbs of Melbourne. So far, I came across Southern Animal Health (https://www.southernanimalhealth.com.au/veterinary-surgery/patella-luxation-sub-luxating-patella-loose-kneecap/) with a good writeup and appears to be experienced with good practices. It is about an hour from where I am located. I am not fuss on the distance but only concern the long travel for Jino day after surgery. Vets on parker (https://vetsonparker.com.au/) and Thrifty Vet at Boronia, from one of the forum here. Please if you would kindly share your experiences/recommendations, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Bundyburger
When I lived in Melbourne I used Southern Animal Health for my dogs. They didn't need that procedure but all the vets we saw were very knowledgeable and experienced, by far one of the best vet clinics I've used. Worth giving them a call for a chat if you are considering them.

Flyntahn
I've never had luxating patella problems, but I had an operation on my German Shorthaired Pointers leg when she ripped all the ligaments in her front leg. After talking to my vet and also my vet friend I decided to go with Arthur House who is a specialist orthopedic surgeon. I could not recommend him enough. He has moved since I used him. He was at Hallam. I'll see if I can find where he is now. He is now at Peninsula Vet emergency & Referral Hospital. He is the best. Flyntahn
I also have Papillons. If I had any patella problems I would go to him before anyone else. As I said in my last post he is the best.
