Sammyw
https://ibb.co/82xsHfy hi can anyone help me with my beautiful 10 week old border retriever - she has a Raised rash lump in a line where her belly button is. Thanks
Rebanne
bit hard to tell what it may be. Maybe trying bathing in warm water first off. She could have laid in something that irritated her. If it worsens or continues then a vet visit would be in order.
persephone
Could it be a scratch, rather than a rash ?...it could be a number of things . If you're worried , a vet visit is always the wisest thing.
sheena
It looks to me like a scar of some sorts...I would be asking the breeder about it. Has she been desexed?? ETA...too far up to be a desexing scar, but it still looks like a scar of some sort Edited February 14, 2019 by sheena
RuralPug
Looks scar like to me as well. Did she have a hernia removed? Her breeder will know. And I've never seen a "border retriever" so I googled it and found it is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Border Collie - is that right? What it the purpose of that cross? Google didn't say. Sammyw
Thanks for all the responses so far - it seems as though it’s a scar maybe from her belly button that has got irritated and scratched. It calmed down a bit after a soapy warm bath yesterday. Not sure if the purpose of the breed of dog but great nature and looks so far.
Two Best Dogs!
You could make a note to yourself to ask the vet at the next vaccination? of course if it suddenly gets worse or seems to be paining her, go there ASAP.
