trifecta Posted May 23, 2005 Share Posted May 23, 2005 Greentea, maybe start Henry off on raw chicken mince (the pet variety), this usually has the bones minced up. Then when he gets the taste for chicken you can introduce the necks/wings smashed up & later on add a little offal to the mince. Some chicken shops sell the wing tips alone, this would be ideal to start off a little tacker like Henry on BARF. And yes he is cute Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
greentea Posted May 23, 2005 Author Share Posted May 23, 2005 Thanks guys! My only concern with leaving the chicken neck with him for long periods is that it might go off and make him sick... We live in a very old freezing house so when we are inside the heating is on and it is quite cozy, would the heat make the chicken fester and get bacterias? I have been taking it and putting it in the fridge today when he is asleep and bringing it back when he wakes... I bought it yesterday. Today he had scothch fillet minced up and loved it, as well as the passionfruit shell he stole from the bin! ha ha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
