sandgrubber
It's worth questioning whether glucosamine actually works, or merely gives you a sense that you're doing something http://skeptvet.com/Blog/2014/03/legs-glucosamine-study-sows-little-evidence-of-real-benefit/
RuralPug
There are plenty of purpose designed dog glucosamine products on the market to choose from. Also you might want to look at Rose Hip Vital which is available in a dog preparation.
Christine_72
Most dog specific products come in powder form. I've dealt with 'odourless' and 'tasteless' powders with Nugget before, and the little turd refused to touch his meals. I'm done with filling empty capsules with powder 5 times a day. I'll see if i can find dog specific capsules with decent amounts of gluc/chon/msm in them. @sandgrubber Nugget is only 13mths old, but he is incredibly active, and i want to start using is as a preventative. Tassie
My two have Blackmore's Paw Osteocare .. biggish circular treat .. you could break it into smaller bits to hide in other treats I guess. Mine just gobble them, but then they are not fussy at all about what goes in their mouths. Originally recommended to us by a rehab vet. Other people have had Dasuquin treats recommended. They do come in large dog and small dog versions.

I would use it as a preventative. Prevention is better than cure.

Prevention is better than cure. I've seen zero evidence that glucosamine works as a preventative
