mornaw
Thank you in advance for any advice. For a 4kg puppy aged from 8 weeks, what are the veterinary requirements and all up costs transport Australia to New Zealand? Do pet transporters set it all up for you? I have heard cost about $2,000 upwards?
Rebanne
yes a pet transporter can do the lot for you which is what I would recommend if you have never done anything like it before. You can google NZ import requirements and see what is required. It might be within your abilities to do things yourself and bring the price down.
wayrod
There is two treatment requirements to be met: first: internal and external parasite treatment and blood test second: two weeks later internal and external parasite treatment puppy can then then fly out that evening or following day, depending on location of arrival (Auckland or Christchurch) and suitable flight from departure city. First treatment can cost between $400-$600 depending on vet used. Second around $120 airfreight is dependant in crate size so does vary (I can always work out a price for you) upon arrival in NZ there is normally MPI inspection fee of $268 and NZ Customs charges and that is a variable based on value of dog. 15%GST in NZ. Usually works out cheaper if you use a clearing agent in NZ. Wayne
