persephone
like many plants in our gardens ..these seeds can be picked up /played with/swallowed by inquisitive pups/dogs. A pup belonging to friends has just been released from hospital after a scare involving these seeds ,and liver damage he was a very sick young man indeed!! Still not in the clear - but at least he's home .
Tassie
Thanks for the heads up Perse. I thought it was all parts of the cycad. (Fortunately for us they're not commonly grown down here .. there are advantages in being in the deep south.
