Asher
Has anyone suggested looking into EPI? Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Apologies if this is old news, but worth considering. Symptoms include: Gradual wasting away despite a voracious appetite Eliminating much more frequently, sometimes every hour or two Stools are greasy voluminous yellowish cow-plops, but sometimes grayish Eating their own stools, or other inappropriate substances Increased rumbling sounds from the abdomen Increased passing amounts of flatulence Some dogs do not show any typical signs Some experience intermittent watery diarrhea or vomiting Some dogs even display personality changes such as fearfulness or sudden aggression
Stitch
Whilst some things may be similar the majority of symptoms are not present for EPI. Gut issues are very difficult to diagnose/treat accurately.
Guest crazydoglady99
Hey Stitch, in Jean Dodds book, she says the saliva string sample is "stable for 30days". I'm so excited to get ours done this week!!
Stitch
That's good AL but I wonder why they state 10 days in their blurb?
Guest crazydoglady99
We just got our Nutriscan results!! I am blown away. They have literally paid for themselves. My little Shitzu who I thought might be the problem child, had a lot of low reactions. But my super fussy boy had tonnes of high reactions! And my not fussy, almost never reacts girl had a lot of medium responses. Whoa! I am stunned. After watching my previous beautiful beautiful dog suffer after a lifetime of incorrect foods, I'm so thankful that I have this extra info so I can do everything possible to prevent these 3 amigos suffering similar problems. Best $$ I've spent so far!!! Edited May 18, 2018 by crazydoglady99 A
