Iscariot
G'day All We have a beautiful 11 month old Golden and between him running, playing, digging and weeing along with extreme heat our grass has basically died and the whole yard is turning into dirt. We are looking at relaying turf and have been considering artificial turf. Anyone got any experience with how it holds up against attempts to dig? He is not an obsessive digger and really only seems to do it where the dirt is exposed so Im hoping proper coverage would cause him to cease what little digging he still does. If you do have turf which brand did you go with. I have looked at a couple and they state they are pet friendly. We would also want to stay away from anything on the cheaper side. Eagerly awaiting feedback.. Note: Dang it, dont know why this did not post in the general forum rather than Breed Sub forums. Any mods see this please feel free to move it :-) Edited February 21, 2018 by Iscariot Note for reference.
Cosmolo
We have artificial turf and even a few persistent diggers don’t dig in it. We went for top of the range professionally laid though.
Papillon Kisses
Regardless of what you do with the grass, you may like to give him a dedicated area where he can dig to his heart’s content. Encourage him to use it by burying amazing things in there. Edited February 25, 2018 by Papillon Kisses
