Loba
Asking for a friend! ! The dog is a nine month old speyed microchipped and vaccinated female. She loves people and other dogs (even cats) and knows basic obedience. They have contacted the breeder who is unable to take her back. They are very concerned that she not end up in the wrong hands! Where and how should they advertise here to try and ensure only genuine people apply?
RuralPug
Could they ask the breeder to advertise on their behalf and screen the buyers for them? To advertise here they would have to be breeders. It's not so much where they advertise as how well they screen the responses...perhaps they could contact the breed club (state or national) for advice on screening potential buyers if the breeder cannot help with that.
_PL_
You are welcome to cut & paste from out adoption form if you'd rather rehome that way but breed clubs are really a good recommendation.

Loba
Brilliant idea thank you but the breeder is not registered and appears to be overwhelmed with medical issues atm so sadly not an option at this time.
Two Best Dogs!
Could contact the Rottweiler club and see if they know any rescue or fostering options? Did they train her through a local school? Could approach the trainers if they know anyone looking for a large young dog?
Apricot
How about on a dedicated Rottweiler re-homing site on Facebook? https://www.facebook.com/groups/rottierescue/

juice
Just a few tips, don't give the dog away for free, put a reasonable price on her, it can always be reduced if they find a great home. Check where the dog is going, actually go and look at the property, beware people lie, and will often use a friends house that looks better, so ask for a drivers license to prove that its their home. Be careful she isn't going to guard say a car yard and will live on a chain the rest of her life. Once you have their drivers license do some research on FB , easy to spot dodgy people there.
