Max Friend
Has anyone ever heard of a little (or big) dog eating pea straw that is mulching a garden? . Absolutely no animal waste or other smelly waste is on or in the mulch. His owner feels he is getting sick from eating it.
_PL_
I've used pea straw, out of all the mulches it seemed to me to be the most benign, even surprisingly sprouting peas! However after opening a bag of 'organic' cane mulch and finding it all moldy (i threw it out because it's hazardous) it occurs to me that to prevent mold forming in the plastic bag there might be an anti fungal agent. Not sure how that would effect it's breaking down in the garden but it's probably not good for dogs. Neither is the mold. In what way is the dog sick?
