Roova
Lovely photo! I love how they can find water even in the most bizarre of spots. Are they pale headed Rosella's?
persephone
@Scottsmum @RoovaThat rosella is our version of the CRIMSON rosella ..the YELLOW rosella !! Kinda the negative , I guess . The behave a lot like their brothers of a different colour .. and dribbling sprinklers are very popular

Roova
Went to a local golf course today and had a giggle with how they've set up this rock. I was admiring how they've polished part of the rock to make a seat then noticed some poor person apparently squished under the rock lol 1

Roova
Wow intense eyes! I had to look up what type of bird they are. Who would have thought they'd be capable of kidnap! White-winged Choughs usually occur in flocks of up to 20 birds, though sometimes many more may congregate during the non-breeding season. Flocks are composed of breeding adults and non-breeding helpers, at least some of which are young from earlier broods, and flocks often also contain birds that have been kidnapped from other groups of choughs. Members of these groups co-operate to assist with building nests and feeding and brooding the nestlings and fledgelings. When disturbed, the group usually flies into nearby trees, calling noisily
persephone
@Roova Aren't they amazing!? While I've always known of these birds ..this is the first time they've been around the house. Not easy to photograph either

Scottsmum
Big day socialising & watching too much telly ( it was on in the house we visited and his eyes were just glued to it the entire time *eye roll*) So I took him out to chill and play with the grass for a while when we got home, but someone far too interesting showed up just as we started to chill. Not sure what that means in the long run. Smugmug was one of the first, still the one I use. They started out with high ethics and an intention of being the best and fairest, but like others who have gone under, had to compromise to stay afloat. A few dolers have been in and out of Smugmug over the years. Don't know what their intentions are with Flikr, but if Flikr was going under and needed rescuing I'm glad Smugmug have stepped in. I've closed my pro account but keep all my old dog shots there for old times sake, and now and then get an ask out of the past for a shot of a flyball dog that has gone to the bridge - wouldn't be many still around from Frodo's time.
